Floor Saw and Expansion Cutting

Expansion Cutting

The placing of new concrete slabs (garage, house, path, patio, etc) requires control joints to be cut within a few days of placing. This minimizes natural cracking as the concrete expands over time. A floor saw is the number one choice when it comes to expansion cutting.

Decorative Cutting

A step up from expansion cutting, a number of customers are after a more artistic effect, especially when the concrete they have laid is on public display. Decorative concrete cutting usually involves a wider cut and allows for artistic patterns at the customer's discretion. A floor saw again is the number one choice when it comes to decorative cutting.

Like expansion cutting, we will always use the floor saw where possible, it saves on cutting time and marking out time. But where required we will use a chain saw trolley for short cuts or if the access is tricky. We can cut at widths of 3mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm wide on a single blade but also have the options to double up on blades if required.

Loop Cutting

Customers often require wide cuts for the laying of a loop for the installation of traffic lights or a gate the response to pressure from vehicles in an area of concrete. Demolition cutting - We will use the floor saw where possible for any type of concrete cutting, floor chases or trenches, asphalt, or road seal. Its a much more cost and time-effective way to get the job completed.
